Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Staycation

It's the 3rd staycation of the year, the first was the March school holidays, went for a 2 night at HardRock hotel, went for all the South East Asia Aquarium (SEA), the Universal Studios Singapore (USS) and a few friends were at W Sentosa and so it was fun!

The second stayca was right after the lockdown, at Equarius, in July. It was only for a night, but the visit to Sentosa felt like a very good getaway. The room was huge and the place was very well done. Huge swimming pool too! Issue was the lack of food and we had to go to the

And we just did the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. To 'get away', one needs to physically be 'removed', and other than Sentosa, we thought this was the 'furthest place' we can get to. It did feel sort of right!

Room was generous, toilet was big. We had the free upgrade sea-facing view. I asked last minute if they have any more runway facing view but it was said that only levels 3-5 were open, 6-7 were closed. And we found out that 8-9 were used by quarantined peeps!

Jewel was a great place to go anytime! With it's air-conditioned 'outdoors and roof top', it was always pleasant. This giant tree greeted us right at the vortex entrance, and with the xmas lights on at night..it was pretty magical!

Azur at Crowne didnt' accept the dinner other than for the Lounge customers. We had to go hunt for food elsewhere, this is the Japan Gourmet Hall SORA at T1. Nothing was nice, do not go!

The very nice view from the hotel swimming pool!

Gym/Swim is out mantra, taking up large times in the Staycation! An empty gym makes great work out! Especially with new equipment!

9th storey of the hotel, we hardly heard any planes taking off .

The giant tree in day time

Giant tree at the first level.

Dinner was disappointing this round. It's been always great at Shake SHack! The avocado shake is sinfully solid!

View from the room!

We had lunch by the pool side, as we had $50 voucher, it was raining, and a late checkout and after lazing around the pool. It was a long MRT ride home..

Till the next ride out of Singapore/or the next Staycation!

A power grid line all for myself

It's a wonky year of weather patterns all over the place.  And there's road works, they're covering the drains, and much worry about Brownie the cat who likes to cam at under the drain covers of a neighbour. This photo is for another road works, it appeared suddenly one day, and massive cutting of the road outside our house and along Brownie's alley could have chased her (she's nowhere to be found for the 3rd/4th day :(

Just to change some cable

The big hole right outside the house

An 8am delivery, an often thankful sight for the goods to my business!
